When Teach for America held its 20th Anniversary Summit in 2011, nearly 11,000 people gathered for the largest event in the organization’s history. The summit was an opportunity to energize participants in their continued pursuit of educational opportunity and equality.

Teach for America sought a graphic identity for the summit that would reflect the tremendous energy of the day and highlight the theme “20 Years, 1 Day” which plays on the organization’s rallying cry, “One day, all children in this nation will have the opportunity to attain an excellent education.” The phrase “Teach for . . .” became a vehicle to highlight the organization’s priorities and to celebrate the regions where it operates and the individual students who it serves.
